Small Lexus?
« on: January 07, 2011, 11:24:12 am »
The recent review/thread about the MB GLK got me thinking. I wonder why Lexus doesn't offer a vehicle to compete in the low 40's-low 50's premium small CUV market? You know, something like the X3,GLK,Q5,EX,RDX etc etc
My first ever GM ownership experience  can best be described as   "Fool me once...."

They use the RX to sort of do it.

I heard they have been working on a smaller SUV and may name it the IX, which is based on the next generation IS sedan.
Which also means they will up size the next generation RX, the current RX is a bit smaller than the X5, ML dimensions and weighs 500-700 lbs less.

There’s been rumblings for some time that Lexus could release a super-small sedan to compete with the likes of BMW’s 1-series and Audi’s A3.It there any update.
