Today we had a bit of time and checked with a measuring tape the New Kia sorento, Veracruz, CX-9 and Acadia for 2nd and 3rd row leg room and width.
Acadia was the best
Vercruz was a close 2nd
Then came the Sorento and the Cx-9  which were about the same in the 3rd row!  But the Cx-9 was better in the 2nd row if you don't use the 3rd row as the seats slide back etc..

In each vehicle we adjusted the front seats how we'd like them then go from there.
As mentioned before the Highlander was even worse in the 3rd row then the Sorento and didn't sit 3 in the 2nd row very well.

So right now its the Acaidia or Veraruz.

I vote Acadia!  There are two black ones on my street, and I never get tired of watching them drive by...one of the nicer SUVs that make up the automotive landscape.
Internal combustion thrust I trust

The Toronto Star had a review of the Vera Cruz for the past four years and the gremlins seem to be electrical issues. Tried to see if they have it on line but can't find.

I just looked at CR website and Veracruz is currently recommended. It is a little more reliable, but the Acadia gets a higher road test score, while IMO being a better looking of the two. I don't know how good GM is when it comes to warranty repairs; Hyundai in my experience have been close to perfect.

The Veracruz is about 10 inches shorter and 2" narrower. So that means behind the 3rd seat the cargo area is a bit shorter compared to the Acadia.   It also has a 4ft. smaller turning Dia. compared to the Acadia.  The Acadia I think drives a bit nicer  but they both are veru quiet. The Veracruz does a have a bit nicer finished interior then the Acadia's.

I haven't drove a veracruz for a few weeks.  Wife figures she'd like it better, next step is she has to drive both right after each other and see for herself.
Test drove the 2011 Explorer today which is very nice, much like the Acadia.  Interior I would say is nicer finished.  Its pretty roomy to in the 2nd and 3rd row right up there with the Acadia and  Veracruz. Also checked the Flex which is much like the Exporer in side, lots of roorm for a family in the 2nd and 3rd rows.  Wife doesn't like the looks of the flex though.

Ended up getting a good deal on a veracruz so we bought one.  Pretty good bang for the buck.

Yes indeed the contingent continues to grow. We are on our third Hyundai - and to be honest, so long as they continue to produce good vehicles at a good value, I won't be going anywhere else.

I remember when I bought my 06 Sonata, everyone thought I was nuts -- never had anything go wrong with it - ever.
