Nimble and stable with all that torque (video )
« on: December 27, 2010, 02:45:17 pm »
Always liked the 1050 triple engine . Puts out 81 ft lbs of torque now at 7500 rpm .
But its the chassis they've done a great job on this time around . New for 2011 .

John Bloor said , so they say , Don't fu k it up back in 2007
( Its their best selling model )  have sold 65,000 , alot for them since 97 .

The chassis has always been a little lacking but this time they out did themselves .
- Change the pipes and loose 15 lbs too .

Don't know why its missing like crazy . Wouldn't waste a tire like that !
Found out about it last night , ( sis gave me a bike mag with it in it ), been searching the net reading about it all night ) .
Will have to sit on it . Hope my knees don't hit those radiator covers !

Abrubt start (video), I just backed it after hitting full size , sure tossable .
I could see myself buying this one .--  When the guy stops speaking english stop it .

That Kawi has more power and torque but I think this Triumph would be more fun to ride, cool video .  just read CycleWorlds review of it . They sure liked it . except some didn't like the headlights .
It can lean super far.

says ----   "the Speed Triple just leans forever, feels incredibly connected to the tarmac and steers with an awesome, light neutrality and composure that put it among the elite in terms of handling"

I like that ! -  among the elite in terms of handling !

If I can swing a test ride on this thing this summer I'll be tickled pink .

I forgot to include a part from EDITORS' NOTES
from the editor in chief

" Some bikes , the first time you get on , you know the manufacturer has nailed it . Think 1994 Ducati 916, 1998 Yamaha YZF-R1, 2000 Suzuki GSX-R750, any Hayabusa or Aprillia  Tuono. The new Speed triple is one of those "
