Front End Clunking
« on: December 20, 2010, 08:47:40 pm »
Had my stabilizers replaced at some point this year. Something I'm regretting now.  Lately I've noticed they are  making the vibrating noise again. Can these be tighten up at all? Or adjusted in some way to fix this problem?

I believe they are called the front stabilizer links.

Oh, sway bar link?  Those are press fit in.  No way to adjust.  Unless they weren't installed right..

Front End Clunking

I booked an appointment on Tuesday to have my front end clunking looked at.   They brought up the idea of arm bushings, which are known to fail on GM's.  I wanted to get some information these.  What do they do? Can they be a safety concern?

Having researched I've also found the steering column can be a problem as well on my car. Almost every comment I've read people reported a front end clunking sound in the range or 50,000-60,000 km. Which is exactly what my Pontiac Pursuit has.

<Picks up the phone and dials Hyundai, or is it Toyota?>
