Check engine light came on a couple more times. After a bunch of diagnosis the dealer said it was an "overfueling issue" and recommended a fuel injection service. I had the that done and the light still came back on the next day. Now we're waiting for a catalytic converter to come in from the US.
My first ever GM ownership experience  can best be described as   "Fool me once...."

Holy feck.  The vehicle is cursed and the dealership is crooked/incompetent.

Well, I've been waiting for everything to be working and all the dash lights to be off so I can put it on Kijiji and in the Auto Trader

I thought it was down to a Jeep GC or a Touareg but the numbers I got from both dealers here really turned me off. I don't mind spending the money but I hate the feeling of paying too much or not getting good value.

The Jeep dealer wanted nearly MSRP on a V6 Limited with Nav and towing pkg (49799 on a list of 50120)  :o

In terms of the VW- there is almost no stock available and I'd either have to wait until October for a 2012 highline trim or take the base demo.(all they have in stock)  It has 9k+ on it and they don't really want to sell it. (2K off list for what is about to become a 1 year old used car with low mileage seems like a pretty poor deal to me   ::) )

Now I'm back to looking at a 2010 RX350 that's been CPO'd

With everything you've gone through with the SRX, I think you'd due for a reliable vehicle now. Forget the GC or Touareg, they probably won't be much better than the SRX has been to you, go with the RX350 and actually enjoy driving your vehicle as opposed to loaners...

Nothing to do with luck.
