Pin hole in a line causing a vacuum leak?

Could be...

To date, we've focused on the fuel end of it, but other stuff is on the list.  Most of the ignition has been left, isolating fuel delivery.  There was no sense of urgency as it wasn't being ridden anyway, but if it's going to go, much more money can be charged if it's properly making all its ponies.  However, it's in storage now.  February will bring a renewed interest.  I bet once we're riled up, she'll give up the problem to us...

Coils, um.
No place I'd rather be...

We're in the bike room...so all is good!!!

FWIW, the car record in 2009 was a Supra.  246 MPH.  For 2010, it's 252 MPH.

I think the GTR is AWD, right?

Are those Supras AWD? For top speed, that wouldn't matter as much, but for time it certainly would if we are talking big power that needs to make it to the ground.

Off topic a bit, this modifying thing is more of an American thing from what I've gathered over my lifetime. I could never understand why anyone would feel good about beating another car or bike unless both machines are perfectly equal. They have races against each other and the guy with more power wins and ends up thrilled.  ??? Of course 100 extra hp will do more. No surprise.
What you won't find in my car is a coffee, cigarette and a cell phone. What you will find is a driver; imagine that, a driver in a vehicle. What an effing concept!

A car has to do more than just perform; it has to stir your soul!

A true driver's car does not have cup holders.

GTR= AWD

Supra = RWD

This is just another form of racing.  Everyone likes a different kind.
How fast is my Supra?  I sh*t on Cessnas from a roll....

How do the time numbers compare with say 500 HP, 800 HP to a given speed?

I think this is certainly a time were AWD is a huge plus...mind you, I haven't seen numbers...just a guess.

My comments come from co-workers/people telling me their current car (2010 model year) is as quick or fast as my 1995 993.

Well duhhh I tell them, things change. Come to me with a stock 1995 weighing 3000 pounds with 270 hp and we'll compare numbers, not that I would waste my time doing so.

Tell them to take it to the track, races aren't won on paper.  ;D

A friend has a 997, I have a 30 year old 911SC,  it's usually a tossup who's going to be faster in an autocross.   His has twice the HP of mine.

On that track video of mine I posted a while back, I wish I had turned on the camera a few minutes before I did as you'd have seen me catching and passing a new GTR.

I know, but you'd be amazed how many people are wrapped up in the numbers stats in car and motorcycle magazines. Incredibly, it is a major factor in their buying decision. We have one of those at work. I once asked, "have you ever considered buying a car you actually like".

Back in 1986, a GSXR 1100 was faster but I bought an RG 500 Gamma which ended up being more fun to ride.

Every PCA track day I've been to has had at least one awesome pilot in some low powered car (say a 914) that would open a can of whoop-ass on some pretty serious hardware.

For sure!!!  That's why I love riding super motos so much!  ~40-50HP and you're passing 175hp sportbikes...in the corners...on the OUTSIDE!!   :rofl2:
