Holy rocket sled.

Holy crap!

Somehow I think those 1000 hp Nissan GTRs would have a bit of trouble keeping up.

Actually Blur, I timed 13s twice to 200 mph. Thats how fast the Porsche 917 (/30 I believe) was...back in the 70s. Damn fast!

What you won't find in my car is a coffee, cigarette and a cell phone. What you will find is a driver; imagine that, a driver in a vehicle. What an effing concept!

A car has to do more than just perform; it has to stir your soul!

A true driver's car does not have cup holders.

Ya think?  A 650hp vehicle that weighs <600lbs vs. a 1000hp car that weighs over 3000lbs?
No place I'd rather be...

It's a closer race than you think from a roll.  Have seen crazy near 500HP Busas go down to crazy Supras in a roll race.

But from a dig?  Busa ownage....
How fast is my Supra?  I sh*t on Cessnas from a roll....

One that can't get traction versus one that has tons of traction.

Those blown GTRs are no slouches for a car...damn fast, but cripes that bike moved.

But I know...this is a car forum.  ;)

We're in the bike room...so all is good!!!

FWIW, the car record in 2009 was a Supra.  246 MPH.  For 2010, it's 252 MPH.

Don't Supra use to get Yamaha engines? My 1988 Celica Turbo had Yamaha stamped on the block.

Could explain why they run like bikes! :rofl2:

There is some truth to that, but that was more for the 1JZ engine IIRC (old Supras).  The newer MKIV Supras use the 2JZ engines.

Car advantage is aerodynamics.  Bikes suffer at very high speeds thanks to their much higher drag.  Top speed is a function of drag and hp, not weight, so cars tend to be as fast, or faster than comparable bikes.

At moderate speeds where traction is not an issue and aero drag hasn't become significant, bikes are tough to touch.

The real advantage of the two wheelers is cost.  A $20K 'busa can be built that murders any car save for some big-buck iron that is seriously massaged.

Oh...and have you seen the awesome new Hartley V8?  Made with two Busa engines.  Super light, super small V8.  10,000RPM.  500HP capability.  $30,000

LOL!!  Man, there's a long story.  Was riding the Honda Shadow last summer thanks to many difficulties with the Suzuki.  Never mind not being able to insure/plate it, some technical problems with FI that seemed impossible to solve.  Rich at low rpm, lean at high.   ???

I have a buyer in the US, but it needs to be running properly.  I'll actually make a couple bucks on it if I can solve the FI problem without spending a ton.

I'm going to hunt for a nice stock unit, plate it, ride it, enjoy it, and completely forget about any mods.  I hate to admit it, the insurance assholes win.

Oh man....either your fuel pump isn't big enough or you're running out of injector at top.  How are you logging your A/F?

Pump and injectors have been swapped out a few times.   >:(

The tuner has an Innovate unit that logs AF and is set up for the forced induction engines, and he also has a Motty that is modded to work with turbos.

I think fresh minds in the spring will bring a solution.  Bet it's something simple.  (hoping...)

Ok.  What about coils?  Plugs blowing out?  Pin hole in a line causing a vacuum leak?
