Topic: Pic of my new car and a Question? HELP PLZ.....

Hey all, I finally found a car , a 2000 silver/Grey Acura-CIE(?) that's what the ownership say's, I looked over the U.V.I.P,10 years of service records along with the original sales receipt and everything is copacetic. The car is in absolute mint condition inside and out(sparkles)lol, the owner is more meticulous than I would be, a true fanatic. It was certified and e-tested today without any problems-at his expense, I found my diamond in the rough(so to speak) and was able to overcome the dreaded triangle theory! UNLESS I drive it for a week or so and the car has some hidden problem and I'm screwed?!?! But I highly doubt it from the mechanics input when it was getting analyzed for certification today

Now I need to get Insurance on it so I can move it from the sellers place to mine. I will paste some specs and was hoping someone could help refer me to a good insurance Company or Broker? The seller suggested Johnsons.ca but I have yet to call them. I am waiting for a quote from State Farm which I will be receiving on Monday. Well...here are some details about the vehicle:


Features are as follows:

•2 Door/ 4 Speed Automatic Transmission
•Silver Exterior/Black Interior
•16 Inch Wheels (Brand new Hankook Winter Tires Included)
•Air Conditioning/CD Player/AM-FM Radio/Rear Spoiler

•(128,000 KM) Service Records Incl.
•Non Smoker-original owner
 It's a 4 Cylinder-2 door coupe-Model:CIE as per the Ownership.

As for my driving record: I have 0 demerit points, have been licensed since 1992, believe it or not, I have only had 1 car in MY name and it was insured for ONLY 2 months then I sold it. All my other cars were in family members names and I was possibly a part-time driver or I was just driving an insured vehicle...so I don't really have any history with an insurance company for a pronged period of time. The ONLY thing noted on my abstract is that "I failed to have proof of Insurance on me" but the car was insured I just didn't have the papers with me!!?? Its dated 2006/08/23 for the offense date....I don't know why it's still showing up on my abstract 4 years later?

Thats an Integra SE, i have no idea what a 'CIE' is - never heard of that.

For insurance, you will probably get prices all over the map - i'd try one of these online search tools like this one as a starting point:

I used to work at an Acura dealership, FANTASTIC cars, yours looks very nice!  I still think the Integra was much better than the RSX...

Reading over your car specs, if I recall, its should be an LS...

LS where the base models of sorts, GS added leather seats, and the GS-R had the B18 VTEC engine, 5spd only...

I'm pretty sure yours is a 2000 LS

Thanks footlong58, I know about the B18 VTECH's and its definitely not that! I dont recall the seats being leather , though the interior was quite appealing I think it would be the "LS model" from what you stated.

Also Winklovic, thanks for the links. I will check them out and see what I come up with. I just e-mailed the the seller and asked him to check the original bill of sale and see what it says because no insurance CO.'s have heard of a 'CIE', or anyone else for that matter...
