Not sure if MB plans to drop the 3.0L V6 and slide the 1.8T SLK250 below the SLK350.

Much, much better looking already. I never really liked the look of the current one.

Well they never could fit the 6.2 into the old SLK could they? ???

But anyways, even at AMG the new 63 is now a 5.5 turbo I thought. And 55 is now 4.3.

I was expecting a 3.5L TT V6 or 4.6L TT V8 with around 400HP, but MB went with the heavy 5.5L N/A V8 instead.

Don't see why not.  If the 6.2 is just a stroked version of the 5.5, it would be the same exterior size and likely use the same block.  However, I have no idea is the 6.2 is "all new" or if it is indeed just a stroker.

I believe the 6.2 is bespoke. Designed from the ground up by AMG, while the 55 (and its cousins) are cut from more proletarian cloth.

M156 vs M113.

Yea, well they could re-cast the same block with a 1% different alloy and they'd call it "all new".   :rofl2:

IIRC, though, the 5.5 was SOHC and the new 6.2 is DOHC.  Right?
