I didn't even know they still made the Quest. :-\

They stopped for a year and will restart in Jan 2011

Pretty sure they stopped selling it for a year or two (like 2008-2009) as it was so unreliable at first that it got a ton of negative publicity, adding to that the horrible interior. It never sold really well. Maybe the new one will be better.

For the last 2 years it had a new interior that was very nice, bugs were out, but to little to late.  They stopped production for 1 year.

A lot of families tow stuff with their mimivans. I'm not sure I'd want to do that with a CVT.

I may have to think about this some more, but that might be the most unattractive looking vehicle I have ever seen. Damn, it makes the Aztec look downright handsome.

The interior is definitely improved. That red and black photo has a terrible colour combo. Design wise I find the dash ok once you get used to the center speedo. Here is mine. Material quality is definitely on the lower end. Still I found ours to be less cheap and nasty than an equalization year Honda van that my mother inlaw used to own. Could just be her example of course. The new one looks very nice inside indeed.

The exterior on the other hand ... is not an improvement. Looks a bit like a wrinkled Toyota. Still vans aren't primary for their beauty ... they are for hauling.

The CD slot looks like a mouth.

And even it looks like it is unhappy being stuck in that interior.

One interesting feature on the Quest is the "Easy Fill Tire Alert". As you inflate a tire, the car will beep the horn to let you know when the pressure is correct.

I thought that was fairly clever.

So is this for blind people who can't read the gauge while filling?   ::)

Neat feature. Especially if you don't carry your own gauge with you.

Seriously? I wouldn't have to ask too many people before I found someone who couldn't fill a tire if their life depended on it.

My wife for one. She thought a tire looked low. I was out of town, so I explained the procedure, which she carried out. When I got home, I checked the air pressures. The formerly low tire had 60psi in it. Apparently she misunderstood or misread the dial on the pressure gauge.

I think specifically for a minivan it's a great feature. The tires may end up having +/- 5 pounds but it is still better than having your Herculii blow up  ;D
