The company is proactively addressing a remedy which reflects Kawasaki's commitment to excellence and its relationships with its highly valued customers and dealer network.

Kawasaki's commitment to excellence?

Funny, the Kawasaki I have in my garage is the only motorcycle that has issues...with a mere 10,752 km on the clock.
What you won't find in my car is a coffee, cigarette and a cell phone. What you will find is a driver; imagine that, a driver in a vehicle. What an effing concept!

A car has to do more than just perform; it has to stir your soul!

A true driver's car does not have cup holders.

Yea..I noticed the "issues" my brother has had with his BMW motorcycles are chalked up to "character"... :rofl2:
How fast is my Supra?  I sh*t on Cessnas from a roll....

Did'nt your brother had a R1200S before his house got torched down? Any major issues with that one? Mine is running great.

Yea, that one got torched.  He did have a couple of minor issues with it.  Nothing major.  He had LOTS of miles on it.  Personally,  I don't recall any bike I've owned in the last 15 years having any major issues...

Well at least that is all it is. Mine has engine issues...I wish it had "character" issues.

Luckily I have a BMW to get me around. The Kwacker has been parked since 2002.

Hey, even my Aprilia is reliable...

Back to the R1200S. After I sorted out the suspension and fitted Pirelli Super Corsa on it I have to say it's the most comfortable bike I've had to put a lot of miles in a very short time. The riding position fits me to a T. Tons of torque, and a nice kick from 7000 to 8500. While a Superbike like the R1 or the ZX is certainly faster on a track, in real life riding I find the R12S hard to beat.

I've owned a string of Honda and Suzuki bikes, and all (since the 1970's!!) have been pretty much bulletproof.
No place I'd rather be...

Mine is running great.

Of course it is. That is why you see them touring around the world instead of parked at doughnut shops.

My Hondas, Suzukis and Yamahas all were. Its that Kawasaki (also my first) that is a disappointment. Worst of all, the KLR 650 is supposed to be bullet proof. Go figure!

Well at least its holding the house down. I'll get around to looking at it...one day...when I'm not riding my BMWs.  ;D

He also had a 2002 ZX9-R which he said was every bit as comfortable as his 1200..once he fitted a Corbin to it.  I agree.  I also had a 2002 ZX9R and it's the least racy of the full on sport bikes.  He big decision before he went on a trip was whether to take his ZX or the R.  He also has the "Hayabusa" killer BMW..K series was it?  Which he sold within months.  Wasn't as good as the R1200 or the ZX he said.

He just bought a 2010 KTM for the ice...
