Kind of a riff on the Z1000 isn't it?

Not really...I mean...it's within the same category.  Just like most sportbike look alike.  There's only so much you can do.  I suppose you could do what Ducati did, and make the  (somewhat) hideous Diavel.

This is a far more acceptable Ducati.  The StreetFighter.

It's shameful.   The Honda is not bad, but I think I prefer the looks of the FZ-1.   And, the Triumph Speed Triple 955i, well, it was perhaps the nicest streetfigher bike ever made...man, I feel old.
Internal combustion thrust I trust

The CBR's single sided swingarm and WILD rear wheel design does provide some cool visual interest.   I can't imagine that it keeps costs down though...  :(

I think I prefer the look of the Kawi Z1000 over the Honda.

As for the Ducati, I saw a picture of it for the first time earlier this morning on cmgonline.com.  I thought it was pretty evil looking, I like it!

Pictures don't do justice to the Honda. It's a sweet looking bike from the rear, especially with the fender eliminated.

Meh, Diavel's a cruiser (power-cruiser, but cruiser nonetheless), not a sport-standard or musclebike, so it's going to have a very different stance.  Compared to your average Harley or Harley knock-off, I think it's pretty interesting.  Not as awesome as the totally-unique BMW R1200C was, but still, a really different, fun take on the cruiser.

But you're right, the Streetfighter is the Duc to compare to the CB1000R, not the Diavel.
