Hercules Avalanche X-Treme - opinions?
« on: October 05, 2010, 01:39:38 pm »
I'm looking for winter tires for my wife's '04 Grand Caravan.  I saw this tire listed somewhere but I've never heard of it before - new offering?

Any members with experience with said tire?

If you do buy these....What pressure will you use to get a "smooth,no bump ride"?  ;)

That's a very personal question to be asking here you know.  One man's pressure is another man's or woman's pain. Some like a soft ride, others a little firmer. Personally I like the feel of a nice soft silky ride and play with the pressure accordingly..... :rofl2:

Are you referring to the Arctic Claw TXI? In testing with three other winter tires (a few years ago in Quebec), they placed fourth. At 80 kph, they stopped 25 feet past the best winter tire. Nevertheless, I bought a set of studded TXI's for my 1996 4x2 pickup truck. They are entry level winter tires and pretty cheap.
