My new Pontiac G8 GT
« on: September 10, 2010, 06:43:06 pm »
It's certainly RED

Back from Edmonton. This has a lot of motor, I'm loving the torque. Makes the V70R engine feel like a slug. Not bad fuel economy either. Averaging around 130 km/h I was seeing around 8.7L/100km. Car at 130 is turning about 2k RPM.

Such a great car, congrats.

That's some decent fuel economy too.  I'd be surprised if my car could pull that off at 130.  So much for it being better to drive a slow car fast!

I'm impressed by the interior.  On the surface going from a Volvo to a Pontiac sounds like a death sentence.  In reality it doesn't seem the case.

When you are out and about enjoying your new baby, look for a very bright yellow Lotus and see if you can smoke him. He seems to hang out with a lot of Italian friends in various shades, but a lot of them are also red.

Always one of my favourite cars, and if the manual had been available across the range I might have got one!

Yeah. With the Land Rover we essentially had two wagons. With the new G8 I lose some cargo but gain rear seat room for my growing children.
