I just saw a couple of reviews of the current GS.  Looks like they lost that sportiness...

Most definitely. But if one wants to waft around in supreme comfort a current-gen GS is hard to beat. Smiley

Otherwise, one can choose from a new M56, 550i, etc.

Likely most reliable car built....but I prefer the 2nd Gen (1995)

Yes, the newer one is a great car, but I prefer the previous version 98+. It was a bit of an oddity for Lexus, I remember a lot of reviews were shocked they produced such uncharacteristically sporty car. The newer ones are more in line with their luxo first, sport second philosophy. I feel they did the same thing with the IS. The new ones are very good, but not as edgy.
