Random Cars For Sale (not Supras) at SupraForums (pics)
« on: September 02, 2010, 08:11:39 pm »
I still frequent SupraForums.  As I've said many times before, these guys are car crazy..many owning several high end cars, and others buying cars, modding them, then selling them.  Here's a cool sampling of some of the neat (and custom) cars currently for sale.

Single Turbo, 450HP Lexus SC250 (5 speed manual)

300ZX, with Supra power (2JZ-GTE), 380RWHP

2006 Z06, LeMans Blue,HRE wheels

1995 M3

Twin Turbo Z06, 786HP

BMW 3 Series, 450HP, Supra power

2002 M3, Works VS wheels

1999 2.5RS swapped with a 2006 STI powertrain, 425 AWHP

1992 C5, 45,000 original miles

2008 335i, 414RWHP

Porsche 930 with stroked LS2 V8

1994 RX-7 with LS2 V8, 400RWHP

1975 Datsun 280Z

1994 RX-7, 500RWHP (engine by RX-7 Specialties of Canada)

578 HP WRX STi

Noble M12 GTO

"Nera" Lambo (world's fastest) Video:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BwIniaHIUE&feature=player_embedded#!

And the list goes on and on...
How fast is my Supra?  I sh*t on Cessnas from a roll....

I like the SC250.  And an LS2 RX-7...how do they keep them balanced?

Here you go, man:  http://www.rotaryengine.com/

I'm already there!  The site isn't one where you pick from this kit or that.  They seem to have interesting solutions to get the Renesis rotary to be a last a lot longer though.

BTW - Borla exhaust being put on next week.  Looking at CAIs.  None of this for power really...just sound.  I tried a shift kit on an RX-8 I met at Cayuga...that was really nice!

Let me know if you need any help...or whatever...in picking parts..

I'm undecided on the 12th.  We've been away from home a lot lately, and I haven't had a chance to go flying for a while.

OK...you've helped a lot to "legitimize" the customization process.  Oh...I really like the look of darker wheels...but I don't like the look of aftermarket wheels.  Does it make sense to powder coat the originals?

Why the hell not?  My Supra CCW wheels came "shot peened" finish.  I powder coated them.

Powder coating has come a long way.  They even have chrome finishes.  I saw a "black chrome" powder coat job that look like graphite, but with the smoothness of chrome.  It was really nice.

I was half thinking of powder coating my sorta beat up IS350 wheels.  But yea, it's an economical way to dress up your wheels the way you want.

I really like the RX-8 R3 wheels in gunmetal....

The R3 wheel finish was exactly what I was thinking of.  I've got to be careful though, as my car is a dark grey...it has to contast a bit, otherwise, it will look like I tried to match it and failed.

Ooooooooo...I've never been a chrome wheel guy...but me likey the black chrome!!!  Wonder how much these would cost to do.  A guy told me about a place in Hamilton that does just wheels...I'll need to look them up.

When you go to the powder coater, they'll have a bazillion colour samples on pieces of steel, so you'll get to see what it looks like before choosing.

Generally, expect to pay between $50-$75 per wheel

I like this car, would keep the appearance close to oem, with subtle wrappers all around. A true Sleeper.

Me too. Might get a set next year to replace the '05 oem ones the car have on now, when it is time to replace the tyres as well.

Wow... that's quite a menu.

I've always loved the exterior design of the Datsun 280Z.
