Congrats. The only way to top the mighty Hyundai is with another Hyundai!

The numbers look like a great deal.

.....

Ya...not sure why they'd have to put an incentive on these.   ;D

Nice wheels...not sure I've seen one with those on it.
If it flies, floats or f#%&s...rent it.

Those are the standard 17" wheels shod with 235/65 Kumho Solus tires on all 2010 L4 and V6 base models.  Sport and Limited come with 18".

Base '07-09 came with 16".

First fillup last night after 12 days:

670 Km / 58.75 liters = 8.77l/100 Km

The Low Fuel Light was On for about 10 Km.  Overall better than I expected considering it's brand new and was driven, albeit very smoothly, over all kinds of roads and traffic ranging from none to... worst.  Drove through the heat wave of last week and hit heavy traffic with AC ON.

Steering is quicker and the suspension firmer and better calibrated than the Sonata I had.

Telescopic steering wheel with audio controls, XM radio (3 month free subscription), speed dependant volume control and USB port are simple but great features that add comfort and enjoyment to the driving experience.

Great choice! Love the colour and the rims are not those pimpin' 20"+. I'd go with FWD too, it's lighter, quicker to 100 and has better mileage. Congrats on a good deal!

p.s. Did you compare it to the new Sorento?

Thanks.  Yes I did but the '11 Sorento LX-V6 would have cost me $3600. more as there was only a 1K cash deal rebate and the V6 is 2.5K more vs 1.5K in the '10 Santa Fe.  The Sorento has more standard equipment though.

And please no pimp wheels on my cars either and I have always been fine in lighter FWD vehicles up to today so I should be OK with a good set of winter tires.

Second fillup of the 'Fe last night at 99.9 just before the weekly rise to $1.094:

411 Km / 35.53 Liters = 8.64 L/100 Km or 32.7 MPG Imp.
This was mainly commuting to work (20 Km each way) with less traffic and AC use due to cooler temperature.  And maybe 20% city driving.

I did 8.77 the first fillup.

Again, this is better than I expected for this kind of driving.  But the Ultramar station near me now has new pumps with stickers "May contain up to 10% Ethanol" on them so mileage may take a hit if so.

Returned from a 5700 Km 15 day trip to Florida last Sunday.

Averaged 8.65 L/100 Km for the trip.  Broke in the high 7's for one tank and low 9 on the worst.  700 Km is possible on one tank if you're not afraid of running into the low fuel light a little bit.

Car now has 7300 Km and will be due for its first oil change.  No issue to report.
