I don't think that's an SS supercharged. It looks like SS trim level.

Supercharged was the only way the SS's came in 2007.  Later cars (and much better apparently) were turbos.

Untrue. There were different models.. SS vs SS supercharged offered in 07.
The turbo replaced the supercharger for 08.

A friend of mine is selling his sweet BMW 2002 for $6,500 obo.

.....

That's awsome!

Something a little newer?  Since he has "about" $10,000, how about the best FWD performing car around the 'Ring?

2007 Cobalt SS Sedan with 53,000 km for $11,000...game over.

He doesn't like those but he likes the Tiburons.  ::) My buddy has some serious car problems.  :rofl2:
I'll make him drive one maybe he'll change his mind.

I must say I love the enthusiasm here. I found a really nice black E39 that I'd get in a heartbeat. It's just hard to recommend it to a friend you've known for a very long time. ;D

OK...yup...learned something today...thanks for that.

In 2007, the SS came with the 171 hp 2.4 L...the "SS Supercharged" was offered later with the 205 hp.  That SS Supercharged (at least in 2007) was only available as a coupe.
If it flies, floats or f#%&s...rent it.

If he doesn't like it after buying it, you can convince him to sell it to you cheap.  :)

10K + reliable (that you'd recommend to a good friend) + fun-to-drive = very hard to find.

Does your friend need 'practical' too?  That would rule out 2-seaters...

Its not how long you've known him.

Its how much longer you plan to know him.

^^ That's the 2.4 naturally aspirated. Both the supercharged and turbo are 2.0.

Mazda6 Sport.  Fun to drive,  cooler than the sedan & the practicality of the hatch.
