Yeah, my drive in a C6 (crappy convertible slushbox too) impressed the hell out of me too.  And you're right, the rumbly V8 and gobs of torque make the interior immediately forgivable for me too.  If I didn't have a kid, I'd be all over bringing back a lightly used C6 from the US.

As for the obligatory driving shot, I can beat that one...

Did I miss your thread where you posted pics and driving impressions?

How is it possible that after electricity has traveled through hundreds of miles of power line then hundreds of feet (or yards) of romex in our home, that changing the last three feet of wire with something exotic, expensive (cool looking, and packaged in a pricey box) is going to make a difference?

The slushbox is pretty bad though. Quite bad. I don't know why you'd ever buy a Vette without a manual.

I still think that a used C6 would be a wonderful car to project with for track duty, weekend fun, or for a toy. Rip out that crap interior, put in some proper seats, headers, and some mean FAT rims......good to go.

Agreed.  I drove the same slush-box cabrio as GD.  Although the interior was crap-tastic and the slush-box was a joke, I came away impressed.  The V8 was great and kicking out the rear end never got old.  I definitely preferred it over the Viper SRT-10 I drove on the same day...what a pig!
