http://I am not sure the difference of what comes standard in the US and Canada but if they are similar in standard items then after the 6% duty there is no advantage to importing from the US (unless the Canadian dollar is worth more than the US dollar) because of the hassle and decrease in future trade in value. Is the free maintenance transferable to Canada for a BMW purchased in the USA?

Based on what I've seen, what comes standard is very often different between the US and Canadian models. At least for my 335i, the standard material increased in the Canada models and decreased in the US ones when the dollar climbed.
