3500rpm didn't bother me.  The 3.5 V6 is buttery smooth right up to redline.  I may have been concerned if it started to get a bit course at that rpm.  The wear I put on the tranny concerns me more, but I'll never know how many miles I took off it by towing with it.  The Pilot is now relegated to family hauling duties only, and runs like the day I bought it with 176K on the odometer (knock on wood, cross my fingers and toes).

Ive been towing with the truck since I got it (tent trailer, water trailer and now our new trailer) and Im thinking if nothings happened to it by now, then I must be doing something right.

Im not worried about taking miles off my tranny or engine, thats what its made for to use. No sense having it unless you use it

Sorry for reviving an old thread, but found a truck yesterday Im kindsa liking

http://inventory.sunvalleyhonda.com/english/Used-inventory/listing/Pickup-Truck/2000/GMC/SIERRA%202500/6392997.aspx

Its older, a 2000.  But its a 3/4 ton and only has 64K on it.  Was a dedicated tower (5th wheel) but the thing is in mint shape.  Minus a couple scratches here and there, drives awesome and was maintained perfectly.

Only thing its 14K, a biut high for me, but I have nothing to compare it to with the low of kms and that year
