I picked up "The Driver: My Dangerous Pursuit of Speed and Truth in the Outlaw Racing World" by Alex Roy at the beginning of the week and I'm about half way through.

Has anyone else here had the opportunity to read it? Provides a pretty interesting look into the Gumball 3000, Bullrun, some other rally events, and Alex Roy's record breaking trip from New York To LA in 31 hours and 4 minutes. A lot of background into the original Cannonball run and a number of other "underground events."

Perhaps not the best written book -  but a worthwhile read for the enthusiast.

I had no idea who this guy was until he started showing up on Fast Lane Daily every Thursday doing a segment called "The Road Testament".  Alex and the producer of FLD (I believe) discuss some neat stuff.  This week, they discuss -- De Tomaso Pantera, Koenigsegg CCX and other Supercars -- Road Testament - 5/27/2010
