Interesting Things Seen While on my Bike Thread

What interesting thing(s) did you see while out on your two-wheeled toy?

Today, I saw a beautiful chromium yellow late model Saleen Mustang.  It had an exhaust note to die for!

A buddy and I were out riding on Friday, cruising along at about 110 in light traffic and I noticed this car working it's way though traffic behind us.
It sat behind me for a bit and then when there was a cap in the traffic it made it's move.
An Aston Matrin Vantage.
When he pulled out to pass the next guy, I counted the seconds for him to get past and into line:  less then 4 seconds.
Beautiful sounding exhaust.  Our bikes will move, but not like that Vantage will.
If god didn't want us to eat baby animals, he wouldn't have made them so tastey.

That's because you're not riding the right bikes.

I was riding home from work, stopped at a red light (yes some of us do) and a guy walked across in front of me with a shirt that had Quicksilver on it.
A subwoofer should only be noticed once it has been turned off.

'Bigger' guy running (and I use that term loosely) on the boardwalk pushing a heavy full suspension bike while puffing on a cigarette.

That doesn't conjure up a pretty picture.   :surrend:

Oh it wasn't pretty.  I'm glad there are plenty of other "good things" to see along my commute to get that image out of my head.

Funny.  I've noticed a lot of this lately.  When people pass me, often too close, and they finish their pass, they often end up too far over to the shoulder and sometimes put a wheel into the gravel or over the line if it's a paved shoulder.  I'm wondering if their judgement of where their car is relative to my bike is so poor in the first place that they think they've given me more room than they actually did.  Scary.  More proof that steering a car is not the same as driving a car.

Saw a beautiful silver Porsche Cayman S on my ride today.

A large, lanky red fox.  Didn't notice me until the last minute and I was able to get as close as 20 feet before it finally startled and ran across the road.  Jumped over a fence in a graceful, deer-like arc.  Hard to describe.  Very athletic.

Two horses cooling off by wading in a pond up to their shoulders.  Saw this yesterday during a 60 km ride through the countryside....

Let's see...

Last week I saw a BMW Z8. I've seen the same in the neighbourhood a couple of times before, in rush hour, so I guess the owner is using it as a daily driver.

Saw a red Ferrari 250 GT convertible today. Nice car.

I ride through a couple of (G20) red zones on my commute so saw about 1,000 cops standing around talking. I wonder how much extra they are making for this? Not a bad gig if you can get it.

Will say that its much easier to get through downtown now that most people are staying away.

Maybe they'll get the hint and stay away even longer!  I heard recently that Toronto has the dubious distinction of having the longest average one-way commute times in all of North America -- 80 minutes!   :winner:
Yoiks!  Give me a bike ride any day.

The next to last part of my ride is through Ashbridges Bay (beach) so I see a lot of things but there was a guy jumping from the ground then on top of a picnic table, then repeat. Every jump was clean and perfect. The guy had skills.

A bike pulling a trailer with a dingy. Guess he rides down to the lake, hits the water then rides back home?

Too many people talking on their cell phone will riding.

My commute goes by the Roger's Center and last night was the Bon Joni concert....I was wondering why there was an increased presence of women in the neighborhood.
