What would YOU buy?
« on: May 09, 2010, 12:06:00 am »
I have an extra two grand, and want to reward myself for paying off a little extra on my mortgage.

Now, I'm trying to think of how to burn my money away, and naturally, I'm investing it in my vehicles.

I have a few options now of how I can spend the money, but I need your advice:

  • Spend it on my 98 F250:  Smoked projector headlights, Rhino spray on bedliner, diamondplate chrome mudflaps, Ford lighted hitch cover, LED smoked tail lights, and billeted front grill, Nerf bar, brush guard
  • Spend it on the BMW 328:  Carbon fibre shift knob, Xenesis projector bulbs, color match plate frames, factory tool kit, Infinity speaker amp, Infinity mono sub amp, Boston Acoustics component set, Kicker Solo Barics L5 subwoofer, Alpine CDA-9886 head unit

Hmmm...

Or I could spend 2000 bucks on body work and get all the rust out of that damn ford.

I'd spend it on the Bimmer but in a completely different way: Black Chrome grill, smoked taillights, a good pair of (lowering) shocks and springs, and some M6 18s with rubber.

Just saying..

Haha, nice.  I already have the matte black kidneys, smoked tails, and smoked corners and side markers.

Lowering shocks and springs....interesting idea.  I wanted an H&R cup kit, so that may be a valid option, thanks!

M6 18s...look ok, but too much open space in there to show off my rusty brake rotors...personal preference.

Why are they rusty??? :P
There's another option, BBS rims. But those would mean the end of your $2000. ;D

I'm not quite sure you can get BBS rims for 2K or less......

I think 18s start at 800 a rim....

Pay off the house faster.
What you won't find in my car is a coffee, cigarette and a cell phone. What you will find is a driver; imagine that, a driver in a vehicle. What an effing concept!

A car has to do more than just perform; it has to stir your soul!

A true driver's car does not have cup holders.

Car enthusiasts site ... hide the car payment in the mortgage ... ( :o :) )

If the Ford has too rust on it, shouldn't spend any more money into it.

How about a XenoFlo retrofit kit?

Already have 55W 6000K Xenon projectors and 55W HID fogs.  The Xenesis bulbs are for my high beams.

Don't know where I can find bixenons, but I'm sure they are available.

Ovr, he is technically right :P Not much fun though I will admit.

The ironic part is that you're a former financial adviser and he's named "kardood".

I had this debate with my girlfriend. She bought a Z4.
