I just got a sizable Honda parts order from the US.

Each label with the part number also listed the country from where the part was from. Most major parts were made in Japan but it was interesting to see that some Honda parts even came from Germany, Canada and the US.

Made in Canada
  • engine air filter (same as the one bought at a Canadian Honda dealership)
  • engine oil filter (same as the one bought at a Canadian Honda dealership)
  • left and right tie rod ends

Made in Germany
  • cabin air filter

Made in the US
  • some of the fasteners

The cabin air filter was $11.48 from the US; at my local Honda dealer it was about $38.  Shocked

The upper A-arms with ball joints was a saving of $125 for the pair.  Shocked

I also had several experiences with buying maintenance items in the US for a fraction of the $Cdn price... so it doesn't surprise me.

Listen to this one...I went to buy brake rotors for a car.  It was $99 per in Canada and was made in Canada.  I went to the US where it was $39 each..and it was the EXACT same rotor right down to the box...made in Canada!

FWIW, I buy a furnace filter and cut it into 6 pieces and use it as my cabin filter.  Does the same thing as a real cabin filter...for much less $$$

Here's one...Our 2002 Accord needs the AC fixed up.  Not blowing as cold as it could.  A/C Drier/Accumulator.  In Windsor?  $115-$149.  In the US?  $22.  YES...$22.   Shocked
