Topic: So we woke up to THIS this morning...!

So I wake up at 6am this morning to start getting ready for work, and take a look out the window and THIS is what I see...



Some f*#&ing punks threw a precast concrete paving stone through the rear window of my wife's SUV !!!

The stone came in with such force that it bent the steel headrest support rods in the back seat, fer chrissakes!

But we weren't the only ones...another car suffered the same fate farther up the street.

They were probably jealous 'cos you live on ( what looks like) a nice mature street with trees and stuff.

I do not understand why people damage other property.

I'm feeling it for you.....when my brand new Sentra got keyed 1 month after I got it home ($900 later) I know EXACTLY how positively exasperating it is when this happens!!!

In my world, if these guys got caught, they're have a rifle stuffed into their hands and sent in first into a war zone. They wouldn't be given a choice. If they don't make it back...oh well. They're expendable!

Scarecrow  -  OMG, that's horrible! Too bad you didn't catch them. I could imagine what you would do. I know what I would do. I'd get even and bash their head through their car windows. Either way, we'd both end up in jail. Scum. Karma is a *itch though, someone, someday, somewhere will end up damaging their car and taking off, vandalizing it or giving them a hit and run and leaving them for dead.

VDK - "white boys". How can you jump to  a conclusion what colour the people were that did that, let alone the gender? Could've been anybody. Doesn't matter anyway, still scum in my books regardless of colour or gender.

Funny you should mention karma, 'cuz if there's one person in the world who hasn't done anything to deserve this kind of treatment, it's my wife.  She's a complete sweetheart, almost to a fault.  But I think this little incident could bring out the nasty in her too.  I can't post what I'd be prepared to do to the culprits, as it could be used against me in a court of law.  *ahem*

We should get the full repair cost estimate today, probably somewhere in the range of $1500-2000.  The good news is we have Comprehensive coverage.  The bad news is our deductible is $500.

This is exactly why I have a garage that locks. If you have a garage, now is a good time to start using it.

It's not about using your garage, it's about the lack of respect, lack of care and responsibility. Scarecrow, I know you probably feel violated, singled out, don't, it is just a random event. Still though, I sorry to hear your troubles, and hope all will work out.

I know it won't help you if you park on the street but for my car in the driveway I have a motion sensor that goes "Bing-Bong" if the beam is tripped.  It works perfectly as the squirrels on the fence and the occasional night time raccoon test it for me.  It gives me great peace of mind when in bed.

Now that is crappy!  I never understood why people find a need to destroy other peoples property.
