Thanks Flinter, it will come in handy.  Congrats on your new ride also.  No doubt, I would far rather be tooling around in your wheels than mine, but the truck has a purpose.  And it can be fun.  I'll just have to take my two young boys with me, find a big mudhole, and get her dirty!
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

It's always a tough call with vehicles. Smaller sporty cars are loads of fun but as you say, the truck has a purpose. Outside of the practical applications around the house, it can be fun all by itself (ie. mudholes, snow drifts ;D), and it also can enable loads of fun by towing or carting around your other toys (ie. boats, motorcycles, dirt bikes, snowmobiles, track cars). ;D ;D

Update on the "firm ride".  One thing I overlooked was the tire pressure.  I hadn't checked to see if they were overinflated.  I know, I know, its something I should have done soon as I got the truck home.  Not surprisingly, all 4 tires were inflated to 50psi  :o.  Ouch.  I lowered them down to spec and the ride is noticeably softer, of course.  Another thing I noticed is that the tires on it are Toyo Open Country A/T, Load Range E.  That load range is totally overkill for my requirements, so once they are wore out, I'm sure whatever I replace them with will improve the ride even further.
