Mango's U.S. Spec 2010 WRX Limited *UPDATE*
« on: April 10, 2010, 03:55:26 pm »
*Updated Prodrive pics on page 2*

*Magnaflow Cat-Back on page 6*

Stage 1 on page 7

I was going to wait until I got tints, but I figured I'd post now. These pictures were taken shortly after I imported it. Importing was a breeze and I saved roughly 10K.

Other than the limited package I got the STi short throw shifter and MOMO aluminum and leather :censor: knob. HIDs and the 10 speaker stereo aren't available in Canada - don't know why but I'm happy I have them.

The Limited package adds to the base model:

Fog lights
Power glass sunroof
Steering wheel audio controls
Tailpipe exhaust- sedan dual tip, wagon single tip
All Weather Package: Hi/Lo Heated Front Seats, Heated Outside Mirrors and Front Windshield Wiper De-icer (on with rear defroster button)
Stereo: AM/FM, CD 6 disc Changer, 10 speakers, aux input plug, Speed sensing volume control, SRS sound, 3 FM bands, steering wheel audio controls

HID headlights with power hi/lo adjusting like the STI.
Sirius satellite radio
Leather interior- Carbon Black Leather

Let's hope I post these photos right:

Car is absolutely amazing.

Looks great!  I like what the Limited package adds to the WRX.

Did you pay for that MOMO shift knob or did it come with the car?  I remember seeing them for $80 at the Subaru parts counter, back when I had the Legacy.

Stunning! Did you import it yourself or through some company?

I imported it myself. With just a little bit of research and some patience it's a piece of cake. Really. I spent no longer than 20 minutes at the border (including both American and Canadian sides). Karl at the dealer took care of all the paperwork for me.

I ordered the MOMO knob with the car. It makes a huge difference in terms of weight and feel. I love it. I believe I paid $60 for it though Van Bortel.

All that's left: Tints, some new "secret" rims for Summer, and maybe an AP.

Sweet car, congrats man!

I totally agree about the ease of importing.  I did the same for a new Kawasaki Jet-Ski in the summer of '08.   No more difficult than a day of clothes shopping over the border, with significant savings to boot.

Very nice! .......and I'm sure having the extra 10K in your pocket instead of Subaru Canada's is a pretty good feeling as well! ;D

Does Subie Canada honor the warranty?

Subaru Canada does not. Subaru of America does. I submit any warranty work to them (done by a Canadian Subaru dealer) and get a full reimbursement. Could be a slight pain, but should be fine minus any sort of engine explosion.

Looks real sharp. This is a way better looking car than it used to be.

Van Bortel - I know it has been mentioned some where on here from before, but where are they out of? I should check it out since the Legacy goes next year and it might be worth the drive to.....?
