WHat's the milegae on the LR3 you got?
What was the dealer going to allow for trade-in?

106k. The owners plan wasn't to trade it in but for it to become a second vehicle. Wife decided she wanted something else. Up for sale it went. Black book says 20500 - 23000 in my neck of the woods.

Surprising so far is the fuel mileage. In the city running errands/kids doing daily stuff I am seeing 16.5L/100km. To put this in perspective the Volvo V70R gets 12.5L/100km doing the same stuff and my old Dakota was 18.7L/100km.

The plan is to let the Volvo handle the long distance stuff with the Land Rover being used when we really need the space and/or the the rough capability.

I really like the front view, very cool in black. Is that a tan interior? I would like a LR3 or a Range Rover, though that'sl probably never going to happen.

Congrats on the new wheels. Very classy!

So I take it the Dakota is gone? Dirt bike now getting trailered?

Yeah, either a small utility trailer or a carrier. I have had some hiccups with carrier fit due to the weird OEM hitch. I will probably end up with a standard aftermarket hitch.

Nice 'Rover.  Too bad the Camel Trophy no longer exists as it was fun to see the Land Rovers and Range Rovers do their thing.

Let's see some pics like this:

Going to need some tires for that stuff. I am surprised Goodyear makes the ATR (off road tire) in the 255/55-19 size.

Surprising good, or surprising bad? 16.5L/100km doesn't seem that outrageous to me considering the size of the beast. Not sure I'd want my main vehicle to have such a high fuel consumption rate, but for a secondary vehicle, who cares?  ;D

Surprisingly good. Recent short trip to BC through the Rockies. About 12.8L/100km.
