Got it cheap too. I just hope it stays together.

Thats what I am doing. Surprisingly this vehicle has only had one issue in the 4 year 100k kms of its life so far. The owner was an acquaintance
of a family member and was the original owner. I was also able to review the service history. Outside of a 1/2 hour visit to reflash the suspension setting module it hasn't had any troubles. Only visits were reg. scheduled maintenence. I had the truck inspected at a local independant Rover shop and it came out with a clean bill of health outside of the front tie rods (had a little play and needs to be looked at in the next couple years.)
Why the LR3? I was looking at Toyata Land Cruisers south of the border as well as Lexus LX470's. Even in the states a good condition 2006 was going to run me near $40k Cdn landed on my driveway. I landed the Lr3 for $22 750 (no GST private sale) plus a second set of winter tires/wheels that are 95%. 17$ K buys a lot of pain...
