DETROIT — Bob Lutz, far and away the oldest auto executive in Detroit, will retire — again — from General Motors, effective May 1. GM confirmed the news of his impending retirement as vice chairman on Wednesday afternoon, after it had circulated widely in major media outlets.

Yea...was cool he was a pilot.  Read an article about him and his planes before.  But he's getting to "milk shake old" status, so it's time to retire.  I also read that the "new" GM wants to try and get rid of as many as the "old" GM people and are especially keen to have as many younger people in key positions as posible..

Bob Lutz was featured in the Fall/Winter 2002 issue of Motion magazine.  It states he has a L-39C fighter jet.   Good for 750 km/h.
