I just wanted to give some of the GM fans out there a news update on the Camaro.

Availability of the Camaros are finally coming around. Now fans and buyers wont have to drive from one corner of the province to another just to see different colours and packages. We went from having 1 Camaro available if we were lucky to now have 6. Pics and info here http://mark-petz.com/camaro.aspx

Also the Synergy Green special edition model should be arriving at dealerships anytime now.


The buildout for the 2010 models is actually ending later next month in order to ramp up an early build for the 2011 models which will also include the Convertible models. Buyers have already been putting down deposits in order to get thier name on the first convertible orders.

Lastly I am still hearing that dealers are holding out for full price on the Camaro's. Only time will tell if that is the smart thing for them to do. It will all depend on the spring sales rates.

Synergy Green?  First thing that comes to mind is Toyota and their green Synergy drive.... :rofl2:

Nevermind the name... just a bad choice of colour on that car.  Every other colour Chevy offers looks pretty great on the new Camaro... that green though?  Just not doin' it for me.

I like it, suits the car. At least it's not another god-damned shade of silver/grey non-colour.

Well come on!!  Synergy Green?  We've all be spoon fed how Synergy Drive is going to save the world.  What did you expect me to think when I heard the word "Synergy".??   ;D

And you're way off base...for this to be totally predictable, I'd have been complaining about the interior...

I am hoping it will be by the fourth quarter of this year but I can imagine it will be just like the hardtop where there will be so much demand dealers will only get 1 everyfew weeks until the following spring.

# 2 is my favourite as well...When GM allotted us 6 Camaros for stock each of the top sales guys sat down and ordered 1 exactly how we would order it if we were buying it. #2 was my build but if I was stroking the cheque for it I might cop-out and go Black with Cyber Grey Stripes.

You sure about the build-out?  Looks like June for the 2010 build-out with the 2011 starting production in June also.  The 2010 order cut off is next month.  ???

Only for Toyo-pets... ;-)

That sort of bright spring green is a good color for a car that pays homage to the '69 Camaro, which had those sort of bright paint choices.

You are correct...I meant to say final order date instead of build out.
