This car is awesome!

My surprise of the show, very very good looking in the metal, inside and out.  Anyone know the launch date?

Wow, that didn't take long.

$30,000 is going to buy a lot of car in the Sonata.

I love how the line on the doors continues on in the rear lights; very stylish and different than anything else out there. I can't wait to see one in the flesh!

I like the styling also, overall I think it is unique, but the crease from the front to rear lights is not different, just look at several MB models or the Accord.

That sweeping line on the side of the new Sonata is more akin to the larger Benz sedans. Not a bad thing for a $25K car to emulate a $70K, especially a German sedan.  ;D

Hyundai is certainly upping the ante in the global auto market. Now if they can just keep "37th son of Kim" contained in North Korea and continue their SouthK prosperity, the world will be a better place.

I do think it's very different, it's one big curved line. The Accord is a straight line with 'square' rear lights. You can see that they spent some time stylizing the Sonata.

And ovr, I've looked at a few pictures of large MB sedans, and I don't see the ressemblance. The line disappears once it gets to the lights. On the Sonata, you can clearly see that the lights have been shaped to continue that line curving down.  If anything, the rear of the Sonata reminds me of a 3-series, but I don't see Benz at all.

In any case, a car doesn't have to be original to the point where you can't find ressemblance to any other vehicle to look great; it only has to look great!  ;)

It reminds me quite a bit of the Genesis prototype.
I think it's the best looking sedan out there.

How can you not see it, it looks very like the CLS.  Which is great IMHO as I love the CLS!

I am actually considering this over the Genesis Coupe... Whooda thunk it!  :rofl2:

On the way to work today I saw onesitting on the front row of the dealers lot (Aurora Hyundai).   A very nice looking car.   Can't wait to start seeing them out on the road.

So I guess I'm one of the few not ga-ga over the styling.

While I have to say the price is fantastic, the quality is decent, engine/transmission class leading, etc... in that context it's a great car. And considering the price the styling is standout. But there's something about the execution details I'm not crazy about.

But really, so many positives at such an appealing price it's hard to find fault.
