Mazda announced that North American sales of the 2011 Mazda2 will begin earlier than originally anticipated. Originally scheduled to launch late in the summer of 2010, the 2011 Mazda will now go on sale early in the summer of 2010.

I was hoping for a nicer (simpler) instrument cluster. The a-symmetrical electronic display on the right side with a round black surrounding doesn't look good to me. Perhaps classic needles for gas and temp with an additional small display in the center would’ve been better.
Other than that, a little entry level car to keep Yaris company.
