Thanks AS. Looks apart, the pricing seems good (depending what's included in it) and as I said, the engine is sweet. We'll see how the polarizing looks will impact the sales (see Cube).
I find this concept very good and I'm looking forward to comparing the Juke with the RVR when all the information becomes available. So far the pricing is in the same ball park, although Juke starts lower, but most likely with less content.
The engine in the Juke is far superior to the RVR, but Mitsu may offer more content for similar or a little more money.

When I first drove the Rogue I thought to myself "boy are we in trouble".  But it has mystically proved a solid seller.   IMO, we stole some of the gals who would have perhaps bought the Escape/Tribute et al.  So here's hoping for the same success on the Juke.

Why did you think Rogue is not going to sale? It's a good compact SUV, with good for the class performance (THE best in terms of acceleration IIRC), good interior, feature, price, fuel effcient etc. The only shortcoming was/is the cargo on the smaller side.
Looks are subjective (I don't like it), but I could see it apealing mostly to the ladies just like the CRV.

Juke is even more polarizing. I think more Cube than Rogue.

I just didn't like it, but love the Cube so take my opinion lightly.  :)  I will say that the Rogue has this intrinsic blind spot on both sides that I have yet to experience on any other vehicle.

I loved the X-Trail, but wouldn't be caught dead in a Rogue, something's not right with its look. I love the look of every other Nissan CUV/SUV though, including this Juke!

Then you must dislike the new Tucson, because they are awfully similar.

I agree with everything you've written.  There is hope!

I too loved the X-Trail.  And I think the Juke is great.  At first I wasn't sold but looking at it more and more I'm sold.  Plus I think that engine alone would get me into one.

Do you mean Rogue and Tucson are similar? I don't see that.

I'm not a big fan of the new Tucson design, or the old one for that matter. Much prefer the look of the Sportage for both generations. That said, the new Tucson looks 10x better than the Rogue to me.

Purely subjective, with the new grill and the chrome trim on the door, the Rogue looks great.

I really dislike the previous gen Tucson/Sportage front portion, something is just wrong with the front fender/tire proportions.

Well of course it's purely subjective... whenever someone say 'I like..." or "I prefer...", whatever follows is a subjective statement.  ::)

EDIT: For the record, I agree with you on that particular Sportage. I much prefer those with a gray-ish plastic for all of the bottom, including the front 'bumper'. Looks more rugged and SUV-like, IMO. In comparison, I just think the Rogue looks like a big bubbly toy... kind of like if they took the Yaris and made it into a CUV. One big round bubble. But of course, it's all subjective. ;)

EDIT #2: Refer back to my thread for my Sportage for some pictures of it... http://www.canadiandriver.com/forum/index.php/topic,46296.0.html IMO, after almost 5 years, it's still one of the better looking CUVs out there. There are some things I'd improve about our Sportage (fuel efficiency, etc.), but its looks is about as perfect as it gets for the segment IMO. But of course, it's subjective.  ;)

Of course...but looking at both side profiles, man o man they are similar.  The Tucson begins a new cycle but the Rogue is almost at the end, will be interesting to see whats coming.

I was looking at the full US specs and noticed two things:

1. The FWD models have torsion beam with the IRS only available on AWD models.
2. The cargo space behind the rear seats is very, very small at 10 cu ft. Smaller than Fiesta's 17 cu ft. not to mention Fit.
3. The fuel economy is very, very good with excellent power. Again, fantastic powertrain engine.

The new Juke was delivered to my local dealers lot this week...but not yet in the showroom.  Haven't seen one on the road yet.
