I like the overall shape.  The only thing I feel odd is the headlight on the hood.  The design is very out of the box like the Murano did in 2003.

2011 Nissan Juke makes North American debut
Quote
The Juke will be powered by a 1.6-liter inline-four, direct-injection turbocharged gasoline engine with over 180 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque. Forward momentum is established with the use of Xtronic CVT with S-Mode or a six-speed manual transmission.
180/170 with six-speed manual ? Win.

Quote
The Juke comes in either front-wheel drive, or all-wheel drive combined with a torque vectoring system that provides a 50:50 front, rear split. Nissan points out that this combination of technologies and performance is more typically found in premium vehicles with premium price tags.
Torque vectoring AWD? Win.

New York 2010: 2011 Nissan Juke is actually pretty neat

but CVT-only for the torque-vectoring all-wheel-drive versions.
Epic fail.

just posted on Autoweek news (US)

The Nissan Juke small SUV joins the automaker’s lineup in October with sticker prices starting at $19,710, including a $750 destination charge.

The Juke lineup has three trim levels--S, SV and SL. Buyers can choose between a six-speed manual transmission or continuously variable transmission, and front-drive or all-wheel-drive drivetrains.

A Juke SL with all-wheel drive and the CVT tops the model range with a sticker price of $25,300, including destination.

All Juke models are powered by a turbocharged, direct-injection 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 188 hp and 177 lb-ft. Nissan says a front-drive Juke with the CVT delivers 27 mpg in city driving and 32 mpg on the highway.

The all-wheel drive model splits torque between the front and rear wheels and between the left and right rear wheels. Nissan says the rear split counteracts understeer.

The Juke shares its platform with the Versa small car and slots beneath the Rogue in Nissan’s SUV lineup.

So save your "fugly" for later   :rofl2:

With low RPM torque of the turbo a CVT may not be too buzzy though.

UGLY.   imho
I do not like Nissan's design language with the lumpy hood and nose followed by a rearward sloping roofline.

No m/t awd.  Only to be expected.

I would not be in the market for one of these anyway.   Nissan have not made a car I'd lust after since the 240Z.

I was in the local Nissan / Infinity dealership running an arrand for my father.  This might be heresy, but I couldn't get over how weird looking the Infinity line-up was.  The Juke will fit right in with the odd headlights and crazy bent sheet metal.  I like the Altima and the X-terra, but that's about it...

Well call me crazy but my travels to work will change in less than a year and I will need something small and capable of tackling the winter trek.  The Juke is on my list.  Will the new Focus have an AWD model?

Why, is the new Focus supposed to be a CUV like the Juke??  Or do you not care if the vehicle is CUV or a car?
