I feel like all those honda designers and engineers who made those good honda vehicles all retired together.

Might be some truth in that. A few weeks ago I saw a feature on one of the new Acuras on what I think was "Motoring" on TSN. They interviewed one of the designers. She was 27 and just a couple of years out of school. She said that normally all she would have expected given her lack of experience was to work on components like door handles or wheels, but instead they gave her a major role in doing the overall design.

Clueless youth strikes again... ;)

This vehicle is yet another reason NOT to enter a Honda showroom.  True to their roots, the only vehicle they make that appeals to me is the FIT - a small, zippy reasonably well equipped and efficient hatch.  Jeez, that sounds kind of familiar.

Strange that on the same page is the Kia Sorento review and I'm thinking "now that looks like a nice vehicle".  Yep, 9 Hondas later, considering a Kia instead.  Someone at Honda needs to set their alarm clock and WAKE UP!

The Crosstour is a very quiet vehicle on the highway, much more quiet than the Toyota and equal to or better than the Volvo XC70 and XC90 (have owned both).  The AWD is superb in snow and ice, and handling is excellent.  Ignore the cosmetics and drive this car.  It's fun!
Price is not so out of line, and is actually about $150.00 less (US) than the XC70 on a 36 month lease.  Don't necessarily go by the sticker or list.  (As for an AWD Honda wagon, I look forward to it...).

Can't say that I disagree with any of that.  I own an S2000 and love it, but there is not one single new Honda model that appeals to me.  Same goes with Acura.   I also agree with you about the Sorento, that's a great looking SUV.  I am a current Infiniti owner and I'm also considering Hyundai/Kia this time around........what has the world come to??   ;D

Four Hondas and an Acura here but there won't be a fifth unless they import the Accord diesel wagon.

I hear you.  Several Hondas in my past but only the Fit at present and really nothing else in their lineup I would seriously consider going forward.  Were I in the market for a minivan, the Odyssey would bear consideration.  Thankfully, I'm not.  Acura is a complete strikeout at present, but if they ever put a 6sp. manual in the V6 TSX, I might give that a try.

"Ignore its looks"?  You kiddin' me?  Why would I spend any kind of money on a vehicle so wretched looking that I would have to put a paper bag over my head just to make it to the driver's seat while keeping down my breakfast?  Sorry, I'd much rather put my hard-owned dough into a vehicle I like looking at AND driving.

We have an 07 Odyssey - the most recent Honda purchase.  As far as "mini" vans go (if a 200" long, 4500lb vehicle can ever be called mini) it is probably the best of the lot, but it suffers from the same "3 Rs" of recent Honda quality my 04 Civic did - rattles, recalls, and regret.  I would not buy this car again - of course, I wouldn't buy any of the competitors either.

It is also VERY thirsty and definately thirstier than my 3.3L 2001 Grand Caravan was (yes, the Ody has way more power, but they are about the same size).  Around 11.5/l per 100km in mixed driving isn't too bad for a vehicle this size, but I've never got near the Transport Canada highway figure of 8.2/100km  -even doing 100km/h you are lucky to get below 10/100km.

I have now had my first street look at the Cross. A white one came up behind me in the right lane on the 401. I knew what it was from the grille- and as it passed on the left, I could see the bloated CUV design, but then the rear end drove past. And drove. And drove. Six feet of bloated, wasted sheet metal, and not even a space-efficient design. That thing is just ... AWFUL.

Like a commenter here (quite wittily) said, in side profile, it looks like a dog defecating.  :rofl2:
