Yet to see one in person, but I already like it having seen the press release today. Later, but still for 2011 MY - AWD and 270+ HP option for the SX, from 2.0T. For the size and weight it's bloody bonkers

I stopped by Kia in Aurora the other day and half the lot was filled with Sorento (another Shryer's baby). Now the Sportage will claim the other half. Shopping is over.

I am definitely looking forward to seeing one of these in the flesh and taking one for a test drive. It could very well be my next vehicle purchase this fall.

Saw another on truck this morning mixed with Hondas. Made the CR-V look like a jumbled together plastic toy in comparison.

The exterior is along the lines of how the next Tiguan should progress to. I'm pretty sure the Sportage interior may let me down a bit, but could be wrong and it's more than liveable. Can you tell I dig it?

had the opportunity to see a EX Sportage in blue at my local dealer, was very impressed and got to take lots of pictures but I did not drive it. It will be for show till they get more stock.

Here's the underfloor storage compartment. There is a hook to hold up the lid and you can lift out the divider platform to access the spare.

- power drivers seat controls: (left) to move seat forward or back and also controls the seat height; (middle) seat back angle; (right) lumbar support button
- this was a surprise, according to my specs it says the the EX comes with a electrochromic rearview mirror, but no mention of Homelink which this obviously has (it does mention it on US info)
- the controls to the right of the steering wheel (left to right): rear parking assist system off button; instrument panel illumination control; blank, but if you had 4WD this would be the 4WD lock button; downhill brake control button; Electronic Stability Control off button

- the headlights do not have the LED daytime running lights

Thanks. I think it looks great from every angle and I just noticed that the rims are my favourite 5 spoke and not the uuuuugly machined ones from the show car.

- the AUX, iPod, USB connections with a 12V plug on each side. The iPod connection was included in the glove box.
- dual zone, auto temp controls (standard on EX models)
- 6 speaker, AM/FM/CD/mp3 stereo system
