2002 Honda Civic Coupe with 317Km Milage, is it a good buy?
« on: December 30, 2009, 12:38:24 pm »
Hi everyone, Happy New Year!!

I came across this 2002 Honda Civic Coupe with 317Km Mileage.  Is it still a good buy?  The following were just done recently...

Burns no oil, very clean. Has new windshield/ timing belt/ clutch and good tires.Alpine cd/pwr windows/locks/doors/mirrors. Very clean inside. Dent on pass rear and a small crack on bumper. Car still looks really good. No rust and burns no oil. Selling Price is $2800....

Experts... what can you advice? is it still a good buy?

Thanks and Happy New Year to everyone!

How long do you want to keep it for?

Private or Dealer?, if it has safety and E-test, seems like a good price. get an insurance quote first. Coupe's can be exepensive.

Dent on pass rear and a small crack on bumper.

I would worry about this part...
Seems like it may have been in an accident.

I am a bit like a broken record on this topic. But I would rather search out a Hyundai Elantra with 1/2 the kms for the same money.

Found examples of 2003's with 120,000 kms for same $$$. Good chance you can find one that is not banged up as well.

For example

Honda is a good name but almost any car with 317kms on it is just about toast and will likely be a money pit.

If you had a bigger budget I would consider a Honda but when your spending this kind of money the used Hyundai's offer much much better value.
