What would have happened if I installed regular lug nuts onto a Ballseat Honda rim instead of the ballseat lugnuts?

Using the wrong shaped nut can cause damage or the nuts will work themselves loose. You could have a runaway wheel at some point. Always use the correct size and shaped lug nut to match the bolt and lug seat type of your wheels.

Wow. Runaway wheel aye? They said it might chew into the rim, but I didn't think the wheel would come right off. Good thing they installed the right lugnuts the second time before I left the store.
