Possibly the thermostat is stuck open and the engine is cooling too much.  Does it have a gauge?

Or, a flap in the heater is open to cold outside air instead of heated air.

Phone a Mazda dealer and see if your model has a heater control valve.  If not, then you have a stuck heater box door.  Don't know the car, but you might get at it if you take out the glove box.  It will be located very close to the heater core. Normally the whole friggin console comes out to get at these things.

and dose it look like a T connect with a screw cap and what dose this do.

Usually looks like that.  Also usually vacuum controlled so look for vacuum hose going to it.

do you know where it go's. before the core or after

Usually placed somewhere on the firewall.  I would think it will be after the heater core so follow the return hose.

This is a pic of a heater valve from a 98 V6 Mazda pickup.  Could not find one for your model.  Does the dealer sell one for your model?
