While I was watching an electrician rejigging the wiring in my garage I was poking the tread Of my UHP Hankooks that are safely tucked way for winter up on a tire rack. At -7 in the gargae the tread felt like a puck. I can't imagine good dry traction on that.
I remember going out once for a last jaunt before winter storage. Got sideways at 80kph in 2nd gear as the 490mm of Kumho V700's which were frozen like hockey pucks acted like I was on a hockey rink, but it was dry pavement.
You're not even supposed to store race rubber below freezing, they can crack. GF isn't very happy about the stacks of Hoosiers and Toyos in the laundry room
