Welcome back and WOW what a great car you are getting. The wait for it to show up must be driving you crazy!

Thanks Quad!   :)  Wow, you got a GTI!   I gotta find your thread.

I also wanted a BMW but couldn't justify the cost of the touring. Now if they would have brought over their smaller diesels, it might have swayed me a lot more.

I forgot to ask, did you consider the 135 at all or is it too small?

Julie - "no twin turbo reliability problems."

I wouldn't worry about it, BMW has extended the warranty on the turboes, and the majority of owners never have any problems. I had the 535xi for 21 months, and no problems at all.

Reading BMW forums is deceiving a bit, as the one's who have problems do the complaining; you never hear from all those who have no problems.

Besides, yours will be early 2010 build car, and the "fix" should be in place.  ;)

As I said in the other thread, glad to have you back here.

Your choice seems to be well thought out. The Jet Black and Cream Beige will be an excellant looking coupe. The N54 TT engine is to die for. The rush of torque you get down low, starting at 1400rpm, is very useful around town. Skipping the Individual package was smart, it's pricey and only cosmetic. I like the MSport packages visually (had it on my 535xi) but the 3 coupe is just as nice to look at without it.

The new iDrive is so easy to use, compared to previous ones. It is actually intuitive now. If you have the RunFlatTires (think you do), I would recommend getting the BMW wheel/tire insurance at delivery. Takes away the worry over having to replace same if potholes or hazards claim an expensive tire. Covers your winter set up if done at BMW also.

I happen to like the dash/nav layout on the E90s but that's a subjective thing. Personallly, I would never go for the Tasman green, but the Barbera red would be tempting.

I trust you are on BMW forums, there are several.

The waiting is hard, but gives you a great reward... ;D ;D Congrats.

Thanks ovr!, especially about the wheel/tire insurance.  I was wondering about that.

Yes, I'm on E90 post.  Great site for research.

Barbera Red is very nice.  Will be replaced next year by Vermillion Red btw.

Our current plan is to garage the Bimmer in the winter, and keep the Camry as the winter vehicle for the hubby (he'll drive my TSX in the summer).  But if plans change, I plan on getting a proper set of winter rims and wheels from BMW (not the black steelies this time.  :)  )

Thanks again ovr.  Yeah, I just decided it would worth it to me.  At least, if I'm not having problems, I'll be enjoying the most awesome engine (minus the M3 of course ;) ) in a nimble-sized BMW.

Quad, the diesels are coming.  Maybe in the few years, there'll be a good selection.

Yes, I did consider the 135i.  No, not too small.  Actually, a better size for me.  But the price was just too similar to a 335i for me, and I like the 3-series coupe body style more.

Congratulations Julie, well done.
Another Toyota regulated to "Winter Beater" status. Oh the shame.
3 cars now - must be time for a 3-car garage no? ;)

Congratulations on taking the plunge on the 335 coupe.  :)

Gorgeous machine and great color combo.

I'm embarrased to think how many times I've built one on the BMW website. I'm quite fond of the sedan in Barbera Red with the Oyster Leather interior.

I hope the wait for delivery is not too agonizing.

Thanks Railton!  :)

I'd like that, but I need to save money somewhere.  ;)  I'm trying to pay the house off as quickly as I can...  so I can feed my car habit...

Just kidding!  Kinda.  ;D

Flinter, thank-you and glad to meet you!  I've been reading some of your posts, and I really enjoy your input.  :)

I know you're also considering what to get once your lease is up next spring.  It's going to be so exciting - all those test drives...

Agreed, Oyster is my favorite light interior.  (Oyster will be coming to the coupe next year - if only if it were already here - darn! :)  )  Barbera will be replaced with Vermillion Red starting MY 2011 - if you like reds, you might like that too.  Maybe even more than the Barbera.

Congratulations on your car purchase Julie and welcome back!.   I drove the 335 at the BMW test drive day at Downsview Airport, and it was outstanding.   You are going to have a ball.   Glad the TSX is sticking around too :)

Congrats, Julie!  What a brutally agonizing wait that'll be for you!  Great choice with the colour combo too.  Very envious!

The basic sound system ("BMW Business") in the 335 should still be really good.  I'm very happy with the one in my 330i, but like you, I'm not a huge audiophile  (but it's still noticeably better than any other car I've had).

Welcome back!

As I already said, awesome choice of car Julie!  Jeff's is great so I can't even imagine what yours will be like.  Also he's right about the sound system, I was really blown away by the one in Jeff's car, it's very good indeed.  Although the Miami Sound Machine CD threw me for a minute...

I'm sorry you had health issues, but I'm glad to see you back!

The E92 coupe is the best-looking car BMW has made in years.  And from what I've read, the 335i is an incredible hoot to drive.  Incredible choice!  I'm envious!

Julie, Julie , Julie where hast thou been? You leave our hearts a hanging while living a newer and hopefully much healthier life. Glad to see you back on the board and keep Miss B company.

And what a re-entry you make. ::)  Splash big time with a car that even I am envious about. Lucky lady you are and getting it in March will be great as we should be on the short side of winter by then. How may more sleeps will it be? ;D

Thanks Loudpedal!  I love the TSX even more than the first day; it just doesn't give me any trouble.  But alas, life is short, and you never know what it'll bring...  since I can comfortably afford the BMW now, I feel comfortable going a little crazy.  :)

How's your TL?  Do you like it?  I know it's been a while, but congratulations on it!

HI Mitlov, good to talk to you again!  :)

Thanks.  Compared to my beloved "torqueless wonder" (as mmret once put it), the 335i's torque feels incredible.  It feels like it's endless (well, I don't drive that fast).

Are you still enjoying the Jetta?  I'm quite impressed with VW/Audi's latest:  GTI & S4
