2009 acura tsx, snow tires....215/50/17?

wondering if it's ok to put  215/50/17 snow tires on stock wheels that currently have 225/50/17 oem all seasons? looking @ artic altimax for buffalo winter driving.

Will not pose a problem, however bear in mind the new tire may not have the same load capacity as the stock tire.

i went a size down... load size was about 1000 less than the stock...car rides fine though.  and this is a heavier acura TL.

so if you want to save a bit of cash..consider going to a narrower 16" winter tire on 16" steelies.

Like Nathan said, just be sure the load rating on the tire is the same or higher than what came factory on your vehicle.
