I went in to quality auto wholesalers to buy a 2006 Acura MDX I liked with 68,534 KM. The sales guy showed me a car proof vehicle history that shows the MDX had as he claimed a minor accident on right side but the report shows "dual air bad deployed". I question how can a minor fender bender cause the air bags to deployed.
Secondly, I ask to have the SUV checked out at an acura dealer. He later called and said since I dont have ownership yet I cannot take the SUV myself so they have to get it certified. Also I ask for him to turn the SUV on and the dash lit up with ABS, SVH lights indicating sensors problems. I question that also he stated since they had to boost the SUV to start, the lights came on. I know how to erase codes and I am wondering if they will actually erase those codes and then having them show up later on. These are not cover under warranty.
He told me the SUV is from california and this would be its first winter in toronto but the hisory report he showed me indicated it from NJ.
I am wondering if he slip a few bucks to his buddies at the dealership to pass the car knowing there may be some safety issues
Any suggestions as to what to do
