I have a Yaris Hatch with 185-60-15 goodyear eagle ls tires as om eq.I would like when the time comes to replace these tires to change to the most smooth and quiet tire that's available. Was thinking maybe Michlin Harmony ? Any advice on what tires can help in this regard? :rofl2:

For smooth riding and a quiet tire, we would recommend the following:

Toyo Extensa A/S

Hankook Optimo H727

The Optimo looks like the Michelin Destiny, which is only sold at Cdn Tire.

These toyo extensa would be smoother than Michlin Harmonys? I had Michlins years ago on a corona when the omf dunlops were finished and they changed the ride for the better so much that it has stuck with me all these years..

Curiously the Toyo Extensa A/S is not even mentionned in the Toyo Canada website but is on the US site?

I've tried the Hankook MILEAGE PLUS II H725 ( 175/65-14) for 3 seasons on my Yaris. I have to say it was an OK tire but nothing stood out as being particularly bad or good about it. My plan is also to now go with the Michelin Harmony. I would have preferred the Michelin HydroEdge ( love them on my Corolla) but not available in 175/65-14.

The new Hankook Optimo H727 is rated number 2 behind the Michelin HydroEdge in the Nov. issue of Consumer Reports magazine.

Tire Rack tested the Michelin Harmony, Hydroedge and GoodYear Assurance ComforTred and TripleTred in 2006 with these results: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/testDisplay.jsp?ttid=74

The Michelin Destiny sold by Canadian Tire is supposed to be the same tire as the Harmony (but made in BFGoodrich factories) and is a lot cheaper especially when on sale.

Good luck with your choice.
