I watched the last race of the season last week end. How boring! After watching Moto GP and SBK all season on Speed Network, F1 almost put me to sleep.

Yes, its more like follow the leader when it comes to most four-wheeled racing.

Do you remember the Rossi-Lorenzo battle in Catalunya in 2009. How many lead changes were there the last three laps?
What you won't find in my car is a coffee, cigarette and a cell phone. What you will find is a driver; imagine that, a driver in a vehicle. What an effing concept!

A car has to do more than just perform; it has to stir your soul!

A true driver's car does not have cup holders.

I watched F1 for years, but it simply can't hold my interest any longer. The aerodynamics pretty much kill any chance of passing, so it all comes down to pit strategy. How dull is that?

They should bring back "zero aero downforce" cars, and limit tire widths to somewhere around 190mm. They could take off all restrictions on drivetrains then. A 1000hp won't do you any good if you can't put it on the track.

Not only that, the cars looked much better.

I've always been a Schumacher fan.  This was a pretty bad year for him.  I was hoping for better.  Not even so much as one podium finish.  He was regularly out-qualified and beat by his team mate, Rosberg.  I read somewhere that after reviewing the tape of the move he put on Barichello, he agreed with the stewards and apologized to him in front of everybody at the next driver's meeting.  Perhaps next year's car will suit his driving style a little more.

OTOH, what a great end to the season!  Last race, and it was still open to 4 drivers to win it.  Big congrats to Vettel and RBR!  Although, personally I was hoping Webber would win it...

I was on the Speed site a few days back, reading about the Pirelli tire tests that F1 was doing. It sounds like Schu will be back in '11.

But he switched chassis at the beginning of the year to one more suited to his driving style, remember?

If you've read one of Niki Lauda's books, you may remember him not having a lot of use for ground effects cars and what it did for the sport.

Yes, quite epic. They had a couple good scraps this year too. Can't wait for next season to start!
