Topic: Winter Tire Suggestions?? Hyundai Tucson

I'm looking to purchase new winter tires for my 2005 Hyundai Tucson FWD. This is my first winter with this vehicle so I don't know how it would handle in snowy or icy conditions.  The current all-seasons are great in our rainy weather, but I will be doing daily highway driving through the winter and need some peace-of-mind.

Any suggestions on a reasonably priced but reliable winter tire?

Cost-wise, I've narrowed it down to:

-  Goodyear Nordic  $118
-  Bridgestone Blizzak WS-60 $185
-  Yokohama IG20 $180

What tire size? 215/65R16?

Same vehicle different year. 2008 Tucson that my dad drives. We'll be getting a set of steel rims + 215 65 16 winter tires. One place quoted $790 all inclusive tax in, but that's for Kelly Snowtrakker which I read are junk. What do you guys think about Nexen Winguard sold in walmart? Price wise they are not much more.

Also there was a winter tire ranking posted here. I guess it was Consumer reports, but I can't find it now. Help
