I had a nice hard ride through the woods this afternoon. I like my hybrid....kinda the Swiss Army Knife of bikes, especially with the 700c x 35 Conti TravelContacts.  Low rolling resistance on tarmac and good side bite in the forest trails.

Mmmmm...late autumn in the country!  Something about the smell of leaves, damp earth and fresh air!   Smiley

Looks like you had a great time.

Have pics??

We went for a ride in the woods this past saturday, what a great way to spend the afternoon. Mix of dry and wet terrain, lots of up and downhills, we even had a bit of rain during the ride. At some point we where on a hiking path where we needed to get off the bike to get thru. A friend of mine joked asking for some canned CO2, there was too much O2 in that place, eheheheeh.

Going up to 17 C this afternoon.  November 9th in Ottawa?  Pfft!  I'll try to remember to bring my BB and take a couple of pix.

Some pix.  It was a warm, but gloomy day so they're not perfect, but at least you can see some of my favourite part of my ride which is a 2 km long (!) wood trail which bisects a farmer's field on the right of my mug shot and some woods on the left behind which are sod (turf for you Brits!) farms.

Nice ride pix, nice bike. Thumbs up
Bike days are dwindling down to a precious few in Ontario, I'm afraid. I got out for an hour yesterday and I'm hoping to get a full afternoon in this week, maybe on the rail trail from Stittsville to Ashton. That's a very nice ride, a little too flat and straight, maybe, but quiet, safe and scenic.
