The EGR system is very important on the Insight in helping it achieve the outstanding fuel mileage it gets. Apparently, the EGR plates on the Insight are prone to having some carbon buildup, so I decided to remove the assembly and de-carbon the plate and the gasket. In doing so, I snapped a pic of the teeny engine. You just don't realize how small it is. How small? About a foot..that's it!

Well if can't afford the battery when it brakes. You have a spare lawn mower engine LOL. Ow....I don't like that rusty clips. I'd change them at some point.

Despite myths to the contrary, the battery packs aren't THAT expensive. There are a couple of outfits in the US that even sell refurbished units with warranty for ~$1000. Although the one in my car is brand new.
As far as the rusted bolt tops? They're under a beauty cover. You never see them... |
